Who We Are
You might be wondering who is Bamm-Bamm?
Bamm-Bamm was our white boxer born on Thanksgiving in 2016. He was a goofy and playful boy that was very loyal and protective of our family and a super sweet and gentle role model to our many fosters we brought home during the pandemic. I started getting involved in the rescue community through TNR at my university, Grand Canyon University, and would eventually start bringing home friendly strays or young kittens that could be tamed to find them homes away from the tough living conditions in the Arizona heat. After college, my family moved to North Carolina where I started working in veterinary medicine and continued fostering.
In October of 2022, Bamm-Bamm collapsed on a short walk and was rushed to the emergency vet. We started working with a great cardiologist in Charlotte soon afterwards to try to find out what was happening but sadly, Bamm-Bamm declined rapidly and we lost our heart dog that December. We hoped to get some closure with the results from the testing he was undergoing, but sadly the results came back inconclusive. Our family struggled with this loss greatly and found ourselves lost without answers. Bamm-Bamm was only with us for a short 6 years and 25 days yet he left such a big impact on our lives. Since then we have tried to make an even bigger impact in the rescue community in memory of our wonderful boy!
